How does local-first work?
All data is stored directly on your device. The app syncs notebooks between your devices via a simple, encrypted peer-to-peer network, and you have full control over who can access each notebook.
Can I collaborate with people outside my own devices?
Yes. You can collaborate with anyone, anywhere as long as they have a proper invite link.
What Markdown features are supported?
Eela supports the full standard Markdown syntax (headings, lists, blockquotes, links, images, tables, fenced code blocks). Additional formatting options such as syntax highlighting for code blocks are available.
Is the software free?
Yes, Eela is completely free for personal and commercial use. It is openly licensed under Apache-2.0.
